Dereck Senter, President
Dereck Senter is President and Owner of Kinetic Datacom Corporation.
His principal duties in the firm are executive management,
operations, technology services, and research and development.
In 1995 Senter started Omicron Computer Consulting. With
his extensive experience in data systems, network management,
hardware and software installation and support Senter
developed a noteworthy list of customers in Southwestern
Washington.
The services of Omicron primarily focused on computer
hardware, software, including Microsoft operating systems
and LAN services and support. Committed to furthering
his knowledge of networking technologies, Senter became
a contractor for ICM/Global Knowledge in 2000 for the
instruction of Cisco Systems’ Certifications to
Fortune 500 firms. Through this process Senter quickly
completed numerous Cisco certifications. He was presented
with the Instructional Achievement Award for Global Knowledge
in 2001.
Before joining ICM/Global Knowledge, Senter served as
a Master Instructor and LAN Manager for the US Air Force
from 1992 – 2000. Senter’s expertise drew
attention to his abilities and he became Instructor of
the Year and was a two-time Instructional Achievement
Award recipient. Assigned as a Quality Assurance Monitor
he managed a highly sophisticated LAN for over 1000 personnel
and 780 computers and servers.
2001 brought about a strategic move by Senter to expand
the business operations of Omicron and utilize his expanded
technical expertise. Capitalizing on his name and reputation
for a high level of service, he desired to develop his
firm into a more comprehensive service to his existing
customers and the broader market served by Omicron. The
name “Kinetic Datacom” was chosen as the new corporate
name and Senter retained outside consulting for business
development.
Under his direction, Kinetic Datacom has quickly become a
leader in network technology design and deployment in
the Lewis County region. The firm has been selected by
numerous firms to successfully provide a full range of
services such as; network design and deployment, web site
design and development, consultation for construction
projects to the design and installation of a data communications
backbone for a pharmaceutical firm.
Senter’s vision for the company is to provide a
dimension of planning, service, and value that is not
regularly found in most technology service firms. He believes
that planning and service is lacking in an industry in
which a significant number of technology projects for
businesses fail. Senter is proud of his firm’s track
record of 100% success for its customers.
Receiving degrees in Technology Studies at Pierce College
and an Applied Sciences degree from the Community College
of the Air Force in Tacoma, WA Senter had a foundation
from which he pursued additional accreditations and certifications.
These include Cisco CCNP, CCDP and CCSI. His Cisco expertise
also included instruction in ICND, CCNA Boot camp, CCDA
Boot camp, BCMSN, and CID which he has instructed nationally,
and internationally.
Senter was born on July 15, 1965 in Centralia, Washington.
Dereck and his wife Renee currently resides in Centralia
with their children Kimberly, Lindsey, Kyle, and Ali.
Senter actively participates in ministry at the Church
of God in Centralia, serves on the Board of Directors
for the Centralia Christian School, and is a member of
